Components of Speaking and Listening- These skills are the combination of many smaller parts which are the parts which build strong communication skills. When one part is fully developed then it supports another one to develop.

Vocabulary

Vocabulary is the collection of all words which a child know and it helps them to express themself clearly. Which includes

  1. Name of things like Apple, ball, Dog etc.
  2. knowing action words like Sleep, sit, stand etc.

Here children understand and use words like Dog, big, happy etcetera. Vocabulary is important to explain themself, understand others and stories, support and language skills like writing and reading and helps to communicate with others.

Conversation Skills

Conversation means how to interact with others which is only possible with experience rather than just noticing others. Basics-

  1. Take turns talking.- They should wait for their turn to speak and understand others with concentration along with putting questions if they have any?
  2. Stay on topic.- Try to be on just one topic for better understanding.
  3. Use Polite language- Should use nice words to show your manners like - Thank you, Please, Sorry, excuse me.

Families should do daily and regular conversations during daily routines like playing, eating, walking and listen children carefully by giving them enough time to think and respond.

 

Grammar and pronunciation

Basically, these are the rules to fit some words together to make meaningful and correct sentences. For example, 

  1. Usage of plurals (apples, Dogs)
  2. Usage of Past tenses (ate, Played)
  3. creating sentences (i am Dancing)
  4. Asking Questions (What is your Name)

It is base of formal Education with the help of which students can perform better in Academics.

Non-verbal Communication

It means having communication without using languagewith the help of body language and facial expressions.

  1. Using Eye contact.- looking at someone when talking
  2. Facial expressions.-smiling.
  3. Hand gestures.Pointing, waving.
  4. Tone of voice.- Soft, loud, happy , sad.
  5. Body movement.- Open arms.

It helps to put life in conversation with putting emotions.
